Part 1 — Introduction

About this page

The WTTQP Qualification Search lets you verify the qualification status of construction materials sampling and testing technicians certified through the WTTQP (WSDOT Tester Training and Qualification Program), including WAQTC (Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction) program certifications.

No login or account is required. This page is fully public — anyone can search.

A “Data as of” date is shown near the top of the page. Qualification records are current as of that date.

Part 2 — Reference Guide & Instructions

Searching for a technician

Use the Search filters panel to look up technicians. All fields are optional — you can use any single filter, combine several, or leave everything blank and click Search to return all currently qualified technicians.

  1. Enter one or more search criteria in the filter panel (name, qualification number, type, orgcode, or region).
  2. Click Search to run the query.
  3. Review the results list below the filter panel.
  4. Click Clear to reset all fields and start a new search.

Search fields

FieldWhat to enter
Tester Name A first or last name, or part of one (e.g., “Anderson”). Partial matches are returned.
WTTQP Qualification Number The technician's qualification number (e.g., 62145). Partial matches are supported, so entering the first few digits will narrow results quickly.
Qualification Type Choose a specific qualification or test procedure from the dropdown (e.g., Aggregate Testing Technician (AgTT), FOP for AASHTO T 27/T 11). Leave as “— All qualification types —” to include everything.
Orgcode The organization code associated with the technician's employer or agency. Select from the dropdown or leave as “— All org codes —”.
WSDOT Region Limit results to a specific WSDOT region. Select from the dropdown or leave as “— All regions —”.

Buttons

  • Search — Runs the search with the criteria you've entered.
  • Clear — Resets all fields and clears the current results so you can start a new search.

Reading your results

After you click Search, the results area shows:

  1. Check the results summary at the top to see how many matches were found and which criteria were applied (e.g., Showing 1–5 of 23 results — “Anderson” • Aggregate Testing Technician).
  2. Scan the results list — each row shows a technician's name and WTTQP qualification number.

Viewing a technician's qualifications

Click anywhere on a technician's row (or the + button) to expand it. The expanded view lists every qualification on record for that technician:

  1. Click a technician's row (or the + button) to expand it.
  2. Review each qualification's name, date, expiration, and status.
  3. Click the row again (or the − button) to collapse it.
ColumnMeaning
Qualification name The specific certification or test procedure (e.g., Concrete Testing Technician (CTT) / ACI, T96 Los Angeles Abrasion).
Qualification date The date the qualification was earned or last renewed.
Expiration date The date the qualification expires.
Status The current standing of that qualification (see status definitions below).

Status definitions

Each qualification displays one of five statuses:

Pending
Awaiting review by the QSM Team. The technician is not yet able to test.
Available
Certification(s) and/or qualification(s) in good standing.
Active
The technician performed testing during this calendar year.
Expired
Certification(s) and/or qualification(s) have expired. The technician must requalify before performing that test on WSDOT projects.
Suspended
Certification(s) and/or qualification(s) have been suspended.

Navigating multiple pages

If your search returns more results than fit on one page, use the ← Previous, Next →, and numbered page buttons at the bottom of the results list.

Exporting and printing

Two tools appear above the results list:

  1. Filter your results using the search panel.
  2. Click Export to Excel to download results as a spreadsheet, or click Print-friendly view to open a layout formatted for printing or saving as PDF.
  3. Both tools export only the results of your current search, so filter first, then export.

Tips for better searches

Verifying a specific person? Use the WTTQP Qualification Number if you have it — it avoids name mix-ups between technicians with similar names.
Checking a crew for a specific test? Select the Qualification Type and your project's WSDOT Region, then leave the name blank.
Too many results? Add a second filter (e.g., name + region) to narrow the list.
No results? Check spelling, try a shorter portion of the name, or remove filters one at a time. Remember that a blank search returns only currently qualified technicians.
Expired records still appear within a technician's detail view so you can see their full history — always check the Status column and Expiration date before relying on a qualification.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account to use this page?

No. The registry is fully public and requires no login.

How current is the information?

Records are current as of the “Data as of” date displayed at the top of the search page.

What do the different statuses mean?

Each qualification has one of five statuses: Pending (awaiting review), Available (in good standing), Active (tested this year), Expired (lapsed — must requalify), or Suspended. See the status definitions section above for full details.

A technician's qualification shows as Expired. What does that mean?

The technician's certification for that specific test has lapsed. They must requalify through the WTTQP before performing that test on WSDOT projects. Other qualifications for the same technician may still be valid — each is tracked separately.

A technician I expected to find isn't listed.

Try searching by WTTQP Qualification Number instead of name, since names may be recorded differently (e.g., legal name vs. preferred name). You can also try a shorter portion of the name. If you still can't find the record, use the Contact Us button in the sidebar to reach the State Materials Laboratory.

Who do I contact with questions about a record?

Use the Contact Us button in the sidebar of the search page. Select “Technician Qualification” as the topic, and the Materials Lab team will respond within two business days.
